Ada Lovelace in Hinckley is a Community Interest Company, co-founded by Greg Drozdz and Stan Rooney, dedicated to honoring the legacy of Ada Lovelace, and her connections to the area.
Due to her outstanding achievements, Ada has become a worldwide figurehead for women in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths). In highlighting her life and legacy, we hope to inspire young minds, particularly women and underrepresented communities, to pursue careers in STEM.
We also aim to support STEM projects in the area and celebrate Hinckley’s embrace of technology, from the mechanisation of the hosiery industry to the cutting-edge technology of the Motor Industry Research Association, which is based in Hinckley and is pioneering the future of self-driving cars in the UK.
